The main construction includes H3-H6 factory buildings, a chemical storage warehouse, multi-level corridors, and related supporting facilities. Functions of Curtain Wall Fireproof Board
Curtain wall fireproof components can effectively prevent the destructive power of smoke and flames during a fire. As shown in Figure 1, when a fire occurs indoors, there are often gaps between the vertical curtain wall and the horizontal floor slab. If these gaps are not treated or are improperly treated, smoke and flames can rise through these gaps to the upper floor during a fire. When the curtain wall glass cracks and falls, flames can spread from the outside of the curtain wall to the upper floor's exterior wall, cracking the upper floor's glass curtain wall and entering the upper floor's interior, igniting combustible materials inside and causing a chain reaction that could potentially engulf the entire building in fire. Refer to the figure below: the left side shows the spread of flames and smoke when a fire occurs indoors against the curtain wall. The right side shows the use of curtain wall backing fireproof components, which seal the gaps between the curtain wall and its surrounding fire separation components, the gaps between the curtain wall and the floor slab or the outer edge of the partition wall, and the gaps between the curtain wall and the edges of solid wall openings, ensuring that a fire on the lower floor cannot rise through the interlayer or damaged curtain wall to the upper floor.
